explore our community's 330 million YEAR OLD FOSSIl legacy

clareross2

Step back in time and come along to our exhibition and learn about 330 million year old fossils that were unearthed right here in Dullatur! Our local Geologist, Finn McKellar, who is a student at The University of Glasgow, is hosting the event and will be on hand to answer any questions and explain the significance of the fossils which predate the Age of The Dinosaur - in a time when Dullatur was a wetland of fish and scorpions and a place where birds were yet to be born!

The exhibition will take place in The Community Hall on 7th, 14th and 22nd of September from 11am until 1pm.

Please come along with family and friends to see and talk about Dullatur's existence during the Carboniferous Period, support Finn and thank him for researching, curating and bringing these very rare fossils to our village.
